Frequently asked questions
What does a software development company do?
It designs, builds and maintains custom systems: applications, integrations, cloud infrastructure and data platforms. At Rankea we can also operate what we build, so you do not depend on hiring a full team.
What is the difference between IT consulting and software development?
IT consulting defines what to do: architecture, technology and priorities. Software development builds it. We do both with the same team, so what gets designed is exactly what gets delivered.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope. The first call is at no cost, and in it we see whether we can help. The assessment is billed hourly and ends with a written plan with a price. Then you can choose a fixed-price project paid per milestone, or a dedicated team with a fixed monthly fee.
How soon can you start?
Two weeks after the plan is approved. There is no recruiting process: the team already exists and already works together.
Do you work with my in-house team?
Yes. We can join your team, work in parallel or take over a complete project. At the end we leave documentation and do a handover so your team can operate it.
Who owns the code?
You do. The code lives in your repositories, the infrastructure in your accounts, and the credentials are yours from day one.
